We were fortunate in 2011 to acquire some fantastic Ranching for Wildlife elk hunting opportunities near Hayden, CO in the Northwest corner of Colorado. This operation is conducted by our other company, partnered with Zach Prock, under the name of Cross Mountain Outfitters, LLC, license # 2851.Through some fantastic habitat improvements and extensive wildlife management, we are able to offer you this unique hunting opportunity. These various Ranching for Wildlife (RFW) ranches allow you as the hunter to enjoy the privilege of hunting elk, mule deer and pronghorn with a rifle from the beginning September, which is the beginning of the elk bugle season, through the end of November. Some of the great advantages of hunting the RFW ranches are guaranteed licenses/tags, hunting with your weapon of choice during the peak of the rut and retaining your preference points for future hunting opportunities. These ranches offer first class facilities which include two lodges, each with its own distinct personality.
Elk hunting on these Colorado ranches has a very high success rate. You can enjoy hunting one of the largest herds of elk in Colorado. Our 35,000 plus acres of private ranches provides some of the best wildlife habitat around.
In addition to our RFW ranches, we conduct regular archery, muzzleloader and rifle hunts on additional ranches in the NW corner of Colorado. These ranches are all private land hunts and continue to produce great results. Transportation on all these hunt is out of four-wheel drive pickups and Polaris Rangers. Once you arrive to your area to hunt, we will be on foot for spot and stalk hunting.
